Changes in the Management of Sumgayit Technology Park LLC

Changes have taken place in the management of Sumgayit Technology Park LLC (STP). It has been decided to appoint Mir Jamal Pashayev as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the company. In addition, Alakbar Abbasli has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Kamran Nabizade - as a Member of the Supervisory Board.

The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Mir Jamal Pashayev, has held senior management positions for many years within PASHA Holding and possesses extensive experience in corporate governance and strategic planning. His leadership is expected to further strengthen STP Group of Companies’s institutional capacity and contribute to the company’s sustainable growth.

Alakbar Abbasli served as a member of the Supervisory Board of the STP Group of Companies during 2023–2024. The new CEO previously held senior management positions at SOCAR, Equinor, EY, PwC, PASHA Construction and several other major organizations. His professional background covers the energy and construction sectors, providing a solid foundation for implementing the next stage of development for the STP Group of Companies.

Kamran Nabizade holds a PhD in Economics. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions at SOCAR, LUKOIL and the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation. From 2015 to 2020, he served as a Member of Parliament (Milli Majlis), actively contributing to international parliamentary cooperation and industrial policy development.

With the participation of the new management team, the STP Group of Companies has embarked on a transformation phase aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, driving technological renewal and ensuring sustainable development.

Previously, the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board was held by Nariman Sardarli, while the post of Chief Executive Officer was occupied by Hicran Valehov.
