STP Group of Companies to export cable products to Tajikistan

A contract for the large-scale supply of cable products has been signed between the STP Group of Companies and TajikGidroElektroMontaj OJSC (Tajikistan). Under the terms of the agreement, STP Global Cable, the largest plant in the region and a subsidiary of the STP Group of Companies, will provide the customer with the low-, medium- and high-voltage power cables for use in the construction and reconstruction project of the Ravshan substation, being implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan.

Negotiations between the parties regarding participation in the Ravshan substation project, financed by the Islamic Development Bank, began last year. Competing with companies from Russia and Türkiye, STP Group of Companies managed to outperform them thanks to the high quality of its products and competitive pricing, resulting in the signing of a two-year partnership agreement with the customer. The reconstructed substation will be fully supplied with products manufactured by STP Global Cable, and the first batch of the order is scheduled to be shipped to the customer as early as March.
