A-DF2Y(R)2Y (OKB) type fiber optic cables with double sheath, covered with galvanized steel armor for direct burial installation

STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF CABLE

Optical fibers are freely placed inside polymer tubes and interstice is filled with a hydrophobic gel. Polymer tubes are SZ strended around a central-strenght member. Interstice between stranded tubes is filled with hydrophobic gel and covered with PET tape. Polyethylene jacket are imposed on PET tapes. Internally jacketed cable core is sheathed with galvanized wire steel armor and high-dense polyethylene jacket. (cables with high fire safety level are sheathed with LSZH compound).
